Dear IAM Member,
I would like to sincerely thank every IAM Member who participated in the recent election and I am humbled by the amount of support my campaign received from thousands of IAM Members around the country.
While the outcome of the IAM General Secretary Treasurer’s election did not result in the way thousands of us hoped, we now must move on and continue our struggle to make our union better. Through the democratic processes that the IAM’s Constitution provides, we must always hold our elected officers accountable for their actions while they hold the honor to represent IAM Members. As IAM Members, that is where our power lies.
While we fell short of winning this time, our campaign was run for the right reason: To call out wrongdoing when we see it and then get involved and try to change it.
Again, I thank all of you who supported my campaign and I look forward to continue to work with you and fight to better the lives of workers through participation in the greatest union in the world: The Machinists Union.
